These are the rights you hold as a demat account holder under the depository framework. They are not concessions granted by your depository participant — they are entitlements, and a DP that does not honour them is one you can escalate.

| 14. | Receive corporate action benefits — dividends, bonus, rights and other entitlements — on securities held in your account. |

No. There is no minimum balance requirement for a demat account. You may hold a demat account with nil holdings.
No charges are payable for the opening of a demat account itself. Annual maintenance and transaction charges apply as per the schedule of charges disclosed to you, and small investors may qualify for a BSDA with nil or reduced AMC.
